Veterans’ Day
Veterans’ Day took place on Friday 27th June in Trafalgar Square. The GLA event was a celebration of the contribution made by all those who have served in the Armed Forces, and was a means of raising public awareness of veteran’s issues. As well as a bandstand stage featuring the Blue Harlem swing band and the Citizen K choir there was a picnic area, exhibition and theatre marquee and a stalls arena. The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, paid tribute to all the UK’s veterans.
